New Patients:
Newly registering patients can either bring
in their medical card or fill in a GMS1 form
at the Surgery. You then need to make an appointment to see a Doctor for
a New Patient Assessment. If you would prefer a lady/gentleman Doctor,
please state your preference.
Violent or Abusive Patients:
Patients who are violent or abusive towards
another patient, any member of staff or
other person present are not tolerated. Depending on the incident, the
patient would
in future be seen by another GP, with safety measures put in place or
removed from
the Practice register.
Appointments:
Consultations with the Doctors are by appointment,
made by calling at Derwent
Practice or by telephoning (01653) 600069. All urgent cases will be seen
the same day.
Please notify the surgery if you cannot keep your appointment so that
it can be given to
someone else.
Home Visits:
If a home visit is necessary,
please telephone the Practice before 10:00 am. The
Receptionist may enquire as to the nature of the problem, to assist the
Doctor with priorities.
Emergencies:
Outside surgery hours, a recorded message
will give you a further telephone number
to contact Primecare.
Telephone Advice:
Often a word with the Doctor can save an
appointment. The Receptionist will be able
to tell you the time your Doctor deals with telephone enquiries.
Test Results:
If you need the results of tests, please
ring your Doctor’s Receptionist after 2:00 pm,
one week after they have been performed.
